A full-height fitted home office

This home office at the Esher residence combines tall open shelving with lower closed cabinetry to create a fitted working and display environment.

The dark furniture wraps the wall while integrated lighting gives the open shelves depth and makes the display areas easier to read.

The demanding part: controlling a large shelving elevation

Tall open shelving makes level changes, vertical lines and shelf spacing highly visible across the full wall.

Accurate setting out is therefore important so the display sections, lower cabinet doors and surrounding panels remain aligned.

Lighting, brass and cabinetry details

Closer photographs show the warm shelf lighting, brass hardware and inlay details alongside the darker cabinetry.

These elements add definition without interrupting the disciplined overall furniture layout.

The finished result

The completed home office combines storage, display and working functions within one fitted composition.
