A complete dressing-room composition

This Manchester project uses fitted wardrobes on opposing walls with a central storage island and dressing area, creating a complete walk-in wardrobe rather than a single run of cabinetry.

The light figured finish keeps the large amount of furniture visually calm while mirrored and glazed fronts introduce reflection and depth.

The demanding part: symmetry across the room

Opposing wardrobe runs make alignment highly visible. Door heights, mirrored panels, vertical divisions and handle positions need to relate accurately across both sides of the room.

The central island reinforces that symmetry, so its position and proportion also need to sit naturally within the circulation space.

Mirrored and glazed fronts

The doors combine reflective and translucent panels within framed fronts, allowing the wardrobe to feel lighter than a continuous wall of solid doors.

The mirror panels also reflect the opposite cabinetry, making consistency in spacing and alignment an important part of the finished appearance.

Island and dressing area

The central island provides additional drawer storage and a practical surface within the dressing room, while the adjacent dressing table creates a dedicated preparation area.

These elements are coordinated with the wardrobe finish so the room reads as one designed furniture scheme.

The finished result

The completed room combines fitted wardrobes, mirrors, display sections, island storage and dressing furniture within a balanced light-toned interior.
